Introduction

Eligibility & Account Creation

An account is required to use some app features. Registration may be done via phone number (OTP), Google, or Apple. You are responsible for the accuracy of your data and maintaining the confidentiality of your account access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account upon suspicion of misuse or violation of these terms.

Service Description & Nature

Paxi operates as a technology platform for organizing ride/delivery requests and connecting riders with drivers. The app does not guarantee driver availability at all times or in all areas. Arrival and completion times may vary based on factors such as traffic, weather, and driver availability.

Location & Maps

Service execution may depend on location data (during use) to determine pickup and delivery points and improve trip/delivery accuracy. You are responsible for choosing correct and safe pickup and delivery locations. Errors in address or location may lead to delay or cancellation of the order.

Rider Obligations

The rider is obligated to provide accurate information about the pickup/delivery point, respect the driver, and comply with safety rules. The rider must not use the app for any illegal purposes or to transport prohibited materials. The app/driver reserves the right to refuse to execute the order if a safety risk or regulation violation is apparent.

Driver Obligations & Verification

The driver is obligated to provide accurate data and upload the required verification documents (such as ID/licenses/insurance/vehicle documents if needed) and maintain their validity. The driver must comply with traffic regulations and safety standards. We reserve the right to suspend the driver's account in case of serious reports, invalid documents, or violation of these terms.

Pricing, Fees & Payments

An estimated cost may be displayed before confirming the order and may change based on actual distance, time, or additional fees (if any). Different payment methods may be available depending on the country of operation. When electronic payment is enabled through an external provider, processing is done according to the payment provider's terms and policies.

Cancellation, Refund & No-Show Policy

Cancellations are subject to the following policies (unless the app indicates otherwise during the order): • Free cancellation window: The rider can cancel the order within the first two minutes without any fees. • Rider cancellation after the free window: A cancellation fee of 10 Jordanian Dinars may be charged. • Rider cancellation after the driver starts moving: A cancellation fee of 15 Jordanian Dinars may be charged. • Cancellation reason: The driver may be asked to select/write a cancellation reason when cancelling an order. • When fees apply: Cancellation fees are calculated according to the in-app operating policy and may vary based on order status (before/after driver movement) and trip value. • What happens to the driver upon cancellation: Measures such as warnings or quality actions (e.g., performance/rating review) may be applied based on cancellation frequency. • Auto-Cancel: The order may be automatically cancelled if the driver does not move within 5 minutes. Note: Fees and rules may vary by city/service, and any applicable fees will be displayed within the app as much as possible.

Ratings & Communication

The app may provide a rating or feedback system to improve quality. Communication must be used respectfully and communication features must not be abused. We may review reports and take necessary actions to protect users.

Prohibited Conduct

It is prohibited to use the app for any illegal or fraudulent activity, violate the rights of others, send offensive/threatening content, or attempt to hack or disrupt the service. It is also prohibited to share login credentials, create fake accounts, or exploit offers illegitimately.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to the app (including trademarks, logos, interface, content, and code) are owned by Paxi or its licensors. No part of the app may be copied, modified, or redistributed without prior written permission.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be free from interruptions or errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses resulting from the use of the app or inability to use it, subject to any mandatory rights that cannot be legally excluded.

Privacy & Account Deletion

Data collection and use are subject to our privacy policy. Users can request account and data deletion from within the app (if available) or via the account deletion page on our website.

Account Suspension or Termination

We may temporarily or permanently suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if security or legal compliance requirements necessitate it. You may stop using the app at any time and request account deletion through available deletion mechanisms.

Terms Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. We will publish the updated version within the app or on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after the update means you agree to the updated terms.

Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In case of a dispute, the parties shall first seek to resolve it amicably through support. If no amicable agreement is reached, either party may resort to the competent Jordanian courts in Amman, specifically (Qasr Al-Adl Court, Amman), which shall be the sole competent court for hearing the dispute.
